At Bakers Garden Buildings, it’s been another amazing year of designing, building and installing garden buildings for our wonderful clients.
Our Year in Review
We are especially proud to share that we received all five-star reviews for our garden buildings again this year! As it’s impossible to choose our favourite buildings, we’ve created a list showcasing one garden building from each month of 2024. Keep reading to see some of the incredible projects we’ve had the pleasure of working on this year!
January
REF: 6370
In January, we showcased this amazing summer house with a cantilever base, extending over a Koi pond. The base cleverly concealed a filtration system beneath the building, accessible through a trapdoor inside the room. This project was a real challenge for the team but an incredibly enjoyable experience.

February

In February, we showed you the third building we designed for one of our repeat clients in Berkhamsted. This private office, with an oak rear feature wall, was beautifully furnished. The client was delighted with his new workspace! As were his dogs, who have their own beds inside and enjoy relaxing in the new garden office with their owner.

March

In March, we shared our first building with black cladding! This inline sliding garden gym, with an oak and black veneer feature wall, was an exciting project. We added a roof light to brighten the room and to add space, which worked perfectly for the client’s gym equipment.

April

In April, we showed you one of our Jay offices with a combination store, completed in London. This popular blend of workspace and garden shed continues to be a favourite and we're excited to launch a new black version in 2025.

May

In May, we were on beat with this beautiful music room, designed primarily for drums but also for the client’s personal enjoyment. We added extra soundproofing, acoustic glass, and climate control, along with all the standard features of a Baker's garden studio. This client now uses their music studio regularly to practise the drums and relax with friends.

June

In June, we returned to London to showcase another one of our beautiful Jay garden offices. This office perfectly complements the garden’s stunning design and is used daily by our client.

July

In July, we showed you a new garden room at the West Horsley development by Brookworth homes. It's been a pleasure collaborating with them on several projects this year. The client was delighted with his garden room and is now using the space as a home office and lounge.

August
REF: 6394
In August, we gave you a tour of a beautiful gym in London. We worked closely with this client for nearly two years, securing planning permission for additional height and awaiting property development before beginning installation. The building features a spacious gym area and cupboards that provide extra storage for the family.

September

In September, we shared our first black Kite building, finished with a special moulding to match the main property’s Cedral exterior. Black buildings are definitely on trend and this impressive building is being used daily by the entire family.

October

In October, we were proud to show you one of our most significant projects of the year. This poolside room features a canopy over a hot tub, a shower, toilet and bar area. The main lounge boasts extra height with an Em-Glaze roof light and striking split-face stone cladding across the entire front. These clients were so pleased with the outcome of their building, and we must say, we love the results too!

November

In November, we showcased another fantastic poolside room project. This bespoke room features bifold doors to the front and sliding doors at the side, creating a bright, open space perfectly integrated with the garden. Working with our friends at Falcon Pools, who installed the sauna, was an absolute pleasure, and the finished building is absolutely stunning!

December

In December, we shared a beautiful garden gym. This was our first building with a recessed roof, which created additional height without the need for planning permission. The extra height is perfect for tall gym equipment and also lets more light into the room. This design has inspired other clients of ours and is now part of our conversations for all gym buildings!
