This makes it even more necessary for you to come to us with your needs and ideas in advance to give us plenty of time to plan the build.

Clearing your Garden: 

Don't underestimate the time it takes to prepare your garden space for a new building. Clearing, levelling, and working with landscapers can be a time-consuming process that needs to be completed before construction. Garden Room Manufacturing Lead Time: 

At Bakers, we always have a 3-6 month order book for our bespoke rooms, however, we try to install our pre-design buildings sooner than this. Consequently, there may be limited availability. Ordering in advance guarantees your preferred design and materials on schedule, preventing any delays.

 

Garden Room Construction Time: 

Depending on the complexity of your garden building, the construction process can take 2-5 weeks. Starting early allows for a stress-free build and ensures everything is in place for you to enjoy your new garden room for spring 2024.  

 

The Garden Building Process

The process begins by discussing your vision with our experts. We'll help you choose the right design, size, and features for your garden building vision. Alternatively, you may be working with a garden or landscape designer and we will work alongside them to ensure the perfect integration of your garden room. 

 

Order and Manufacturing: 

Place your order early to secure your preferred date, materials and design. Garden building components can take time to manufacture, so be proactive.

The next steps are to clear the area, level the ground, and consider any necessary landscaping needed to create an inviting outdoor space. It is at this stage when the service trenches, cabling and plumbing should all be considered and planned.

 

Construction:

Our skilled craftsman can install a base and then construct the building from its component parts which are premade in our manufacturing plant. You will be amazed at how quick this part of the process is. Typically the flooring, walls and roof are installed in less than a day. 

Landscaping: 

Once the building is in place, you can then engage with your landscapers to establish ideal elevations and seamlessly integrate the room with the garden, achieving a harmonious blend. A great landscaping expert can transform the surroundings into a picturesque oasis.

 

Consideration for Pool-side rooms with plant rooms: 

If you're considering upgrading your pool equipment's plant room or incorporating it into your poolside rooms, planning in early autumn is ideal. This timing enables us to conduct the work during the winter when the pool is not in use, ensuring everything is set up and prepared for spring.

 

Pool Heaters:

We are currently working on an amazing pool heating solution that incorporates our rubber roof and works purely through the pump system without any electrical heat. We will have much more on this soon!
