Bakers Garden Buildings is extremely proud of the wide range of poolside rooms we have created and delivered over the years. We have the expertise and experience to ensure that, whatever option you have in mind, we can provide it for you.

We'll help you to create a space where you can relax, entertain, dine, and enjoy some luxurious down-time next to your pool. It's also important that you take into account the sort of storage you need to put in place.

We can build a structure where you can safely store the chemicals you need to treat your pool and the pump house or pool plant section - as well as more fun items such as inflatables and games equipment.

Poolside Garden Room with Bathroom, Toilet and Shower

When you plan your poolside room with us, we'll help you take into account the distance it may be from the house.

You may want to have changing facilities, a shower, and a toilet on the spot so you don't have to trek all the way into your home whenever nature calls.

Ideally, we'd like to talk with you at the planning stage of the swimming pool itself. That way, we can incorporate any drainage and services that come with the poolside room at an early stage of the process and don't have to go over the same ground twice.

We have a host of options when it comes to installing showers and changing facilities. One popular choice is a Jack and Jill bathroom with wet-room flooring that can be accessed both from the interior of the poolside house and from poolside too.

Poolside Room with Storage and Entertainment Space

Whatever the weather, you will want to spend as much time as possible relaxing by your pool. Ideally, the building that stands alongside your watery haven should be as user-friendly as possible and include everything you need for a pool and associated activities, as well as entertaining.

Bakers Garden Buildings can incorporate any of the facilities you require in a single pool house. We can include changing rooms, storage, plant, a shower, and a lounge where you can savour the pleasure of your wonderful outdoor space.

We can install a wet-room floor so you can use the room without worrying about the effect of trailing water everywhere when you get out of the pool.

We can even take care of little luxuries such as heated towel rails so you can warm up immediately when it's time to dry off.

You'll have all the relaxation room you need - while also being secure in the knowledge that your chemicals, cleaning equipment, and inflatables are safely stowed away in a dedicated area of your garden room and safe from children.

Are Pool hot tubs worth it?

Due to the temperature difference required between a swimming pool and a hot-tub there needs to be a separate heating section, typically with custom pools this is achievable however a standalone hot-tub is normally the best solution.

Should we prefer hot tubs or saunas, why?

Both hot tubs and saunas offer excellent health benefits. Hot tubs provide stronger social interaction and are ideal for muscle relaxation, joint pain relief, cardiovascular support, and stress reduction—especially outside or under a canopy for poolside use. Saunas excel in detoxification, skin cleansing, enhancing immune function, and traditional wellness but are usually less social due to shorter sessions.

When to Choose a Hot Tub

  • Perfect for socialising, relaxation, and hydrotherapy.
  • Hot tubs offer the perfect way to relax outdoors, enjoy stunning day and night views under the sky and connect with nature.

When to Choose a Sauna

  • Best for detox, immune boosts, and skin health.
  • Compact saunas offer a private and authentic wellness ritual, ideal for those seeking traditional benefits.
  • Infrared sauna deliver deep pain relief, improved circulation, stress reduction, and better sleep with advanced heat penetration. Suited for pool house environments and year-round use.

Recommendation

Hot tubs are preferred for combining significant health and wellness advantages with a fun, social atmosphere—while small saunas add a classic touch for deeper individual relaxation and holistic wellbeing.

What is the difference between a pool and a spa?

For a space to feel like a spa, whether at a resort or in your own backyard, a swimming pool is usually just one part of the experience for group fun with cool water. A true spa room is smaller and also includes additional features like a gym, sauna, hot tub, steam room, or tanning equipment. It's also expected to have a dedicated shower and changing area.
